Brookwood Estate Margaret River

Brookwood Estate wine is all made by Lyn Mann and her daughter Bronnley; it is made in small batches and is processed immediately as it is harvested.

We crush less than a tonne at a time and all of this is usually done by family and close friends in the middle of the night so we can operate the cellar door and café the next day.

Predominently our wine production is a handmade process. The deep rich colour of our shiraz and cabernet sauvignon is produced by plunging the skins and allowing it to slowly move up through the juice whilst it is fermenting. This process is repeated every 3 hours sometimes for 3-4 weeks.

We believe this is why our Cabernet Sauvignon has won gold in consective years; 2003 Rutherglen,2004 Boutique Winemakers of Australia Awards, and 2005 recently won gold at the Australian Small Winemakers Show.

Nose:	The aroma is a vibrant mix of lemon and lime, floral and flint with grassy undertones.
Palate:	The palate is crisp and clean with exuberant flavours of mandarin, peach and green bean. These flavours meld into toasty creamy oak notes with hints of fig, honey and vanilla that linger.

Nose:	Lifted aromas of kiwi fruit, peach green apple and melonwith a floral and citrus underones and a hint of musk
Palate:	This wine has a luscious palate exuding flavours of pineapple, banana, kiwi fruit and rock melon. The palate is round and full with a zesty lime like cleansing acidity, and persistent flavours of melon and peach that linger.
Food Matches	Try it with blue cheese it’s a nice surprise, or if you prefer things a little spicy, this is a great match too.

Nose:	Lifted aromas of ripe pear lemon zest and green apple with underlying lychee and white peach characters.
Palate:	This palate is luscious, rounded and full displaying flavours of apricot, juicy peach, nectarine and honeysuckle, leading to a clean, crisp finish with lingering flavours of lime zest and lemongrass

Inky garnet red with a purple hue

Nose:

Pungent aromas of cherry, blackcurrant and choc-mint with underlying sweet strawberry and eucalyptus notes and a hint of dusty vanilla oak.

Palate:

Distinct red fruit flavours of raspberry and black cherry upfront, this palate is voluptuous and rich with great fruit weight, dusty fine grain tannins and is intricately complex. The oak flavours are savoury, yet with a hint of vanilla, the palate is long and leaves you with flavours reminiscent of spicy stewed rhubarb, blackcurrant and toasty oak, with a hint of mint.
